As the Art is Magic retrospective dedicated to British artist Jeremy Deller draws to a close, and following their appearance at Les Tombées de la Nuit last July, ten musicians from Rennes revisit the scores of the legendary techno brass band, the Williams Fairey Brass Band.

In 1997, Les Trans Musicales de Rennes hosted members of the Manchester brass band at the Salle de la Cité to work on the Acid Brass project created by conceptual artist Jeremy Deller. This time they’re replaying acoustic versions of cult brassy covers mixing the traditions of English mining bands and the industrial sounds of acid house and Detroit techno, this Saturday at the Frac.
