After Habiter n’est pas dormir (2023) and Panique olympique (2024), both presented at Les Tombées de la Nuit, Agnès Pelletier returns with this small-scale participatory choreographic work for public space. Performed by three professional dancers and forty-nine local non-professional accomplices, it explores the notion of “family” in the form of a flash mob, setting a shared techno pulse against the singularity of each individual. Twenty minutes of open-air choreography that is joyful, touching and wholeheartedly generous.

BIOGRAPHY
> COMPAGNIE VOLUBILIS / AGNÈS PELLETIER (FR)
Founded in Niort in 2006, the company explores a wide range of territories and often unexpected, unconventional spaces not usually associated with dance, feeding a choreographic dramaturgy and a desire to tell stories through movement. This fluid artistic collective is primarily devoted to the projects of choreographer Agnès Pelletier, who also created the biennial festival Panique au Dancing in Niort, a space of invention, experimentation and creation for around twenty companies since 2015. Since 2016, one Sunday a month, the Moulin du Roc national theatre in Niort and Compagnie Volubilis organise Dancing au Moulin sessions for amateurs. Through works such as Panique Olympique, Vitrine en cours, Habiter n’est pas dormir, La gràànde finàle, Du vent dans les plumes, Le p.a.r.d.i., Check (2025) and Portrait de famille (2025), the company continues its work of sharing dance with the widest possible audience.
