Part singer, part barker, director and performer Sébastien Barrier — a specialist in labyrinthine monologue — returns to street arts by parking his van-boat for a city-centre bivouac. In this shared moment of poetry and song, stories and confessions, with the jubilant and extravagant digressions for which he is famous, this seasoned master of spoken performance carries us into a welcome pause. Perched alongside his truck, this suspended moment unfolds as an act of resistance — a collective breathing space and a magnificent adventure in words.

BIOGRAPHY
> SÉBASTIEN BARRIER (FR)
The son of social workers, Sébastien Barrier grew up in Le Mans before running off towards other horizons: abandoned literature studies, then circus arts in Toulouse, before beginning his work with companies such as Le Phun at L’Usine in Tournefeuille and GdRA in Toulouse. He first toured with his solo character Ronan Tablantec, then created Savoir enfin qui nous buvons (2013), a six-hour gonzo lecture on natural wine, followed by Chunky Charcoal (2014), a graphic and musical project with Benoît Bonnemaison-Fitte and Nicolas Lafourest. He later performed extensively in Gus (2017), the adventures of a cat for young audiences. After the ritual theatre piece Ceux qui vont mieux (2021), he paid vibrant tribute to British electro-punk duo Sleaford Mods in Dear Jason, Dear Andrew. Now settled on the island of Groix, off Lorient, he returned to street arts in 2025 with the creation of a new show, Nous camperons ici. Sébastien Barrier has been an associate artist at Mixt Nantes since January 2015.
