A DIY-aesthetic experiment in electronic music

For this extraordinary animated musical creation, Gregaldur has cobbled together a strange piece of electronic machinery in the form of an instrumentarium, bric-a-brac and art brut, a working and active sculpture that will eventually pilot itself. Between gadgets and interactive devices, between modular synthesizers and circuit boards, between potentiometers, sequencers and theremins, he develops a language of sound without words where the spectator follows the creation of sound and the formation of a magnificent contemplative melody. For ages 7 to 77.

BIOGRAPHY

> CREGALDUR / BOB THÉÂTRE (France)

Founded in 2002, Bob Théâtre is an association based in Rennes whose aim is to raise awareness of the multidisciplinary arts. It is home to three artistic entities: Le Bob, founded in 1998 and run by Denis Athimon (author and director), La Bobine, founded in 2012 and run by Christelle Hunot (director and textile artist), and Le Blob, founded in 2016 and run by Gregaldur (musician and actor). He joined Le Bob in 2015 to accompany on guitar the Bartleby, une histoire de Wall Street (with Julien Mellano) before creating Le Blob there for his offbeat film-concert projects (Shtsrzyhzyhzyh… in 2016 and Gabuzomeu in 2019) and the walk-in Karastelet, a sound and puppet device (2023). Gregaldur also produces a solo electro project (Héron Cendré), has acted for theatre and film, created sound installations (Plutominium, Platines Magiques…) and is a member of the LaBo artistic research space initiated by Lillico (Rennes).
