From his base in Rennes, France, David Delabrosse has spent the last twenty years developing his own unique world of song, combining two complementary styles for adults and children. Solo, over the course of four albums and shows, with encounters and adventures with Yann Tiersen, Françoise Breut and Lionel Laquerrière, melancholic and cheeky songs, with chiselled literary texts and meticulous harmonies: 13m2 (2006), Le son de l’hallali (2011), Le Modèle réduit de nos pensées (2020), (Toujours) deux (2022) and Les mots modernes (2026). For children, after a meeting with visual artist Marina Jolivet, the zany and energetic musical adventures of Ego le Cachalot… With more than 25,000 copies sold and over 400 performances across France and French-speaking countries, and an impressive three-album anniversary box set released in autumn 2022 (Télérama and Paris Mômes), Ego has become a heavyweight in children’s entertainment.
