Triangle is launching its new season as part of the poetic, visual and performance world of Clédat & Petitpierre, long-time friends of Les Tombées de la Nuit! They’ll be taking over public space and the theatre, as you rub shoulders with Les Baigneurs (The Bathers) in striped swimming costumes re-enacting seaside scenes; giant toys with horse heads and shimmering dolls, creating a sort of close-up shot of a child’s bedroom in Funny Game; a Giacometti-style “walking man” strolling before your eyes. All this is interspersed with choirs around sculptures of Venus Parade installed in the lobby, the offbeat melodies of the Club Vérité Breizh girl band and choreographic interludes by our associate artist, Sylvain Riéjou. Plenty of other surprises will brighten up this afternoon, topped off with a presentation of Triangle’s new season. Ask for a programme!
