Folk pop goes my heart

Des Pies Chicaillent presents a Sunday of American folk-pop.

Lina Tullgren

The Los Angeles-based artist, improv actor, performer and poet, Lina Tullgren explores space, duality, relationships and the divine. Her latest album, Decide Which Way The Eyes Are Looking, is a bold mix of curious sounds, with leaping harp strings, quivering woodwinds, rattling percussion and the rasping euphonium. Combined with the singer’s intimate, melodious voice, this concert takes on an almost dream-like quality.

The Lentils

The Lentils are a leading band from the Los Angeles area, with a wide assortment of influences rooted in American folk and rock music traditions, offset by carefully calculated miscalculations and strange lyrics that are by turns humorous and bittersweet. They’ve released ten albums in ten years, offering a varied musical palette that ranges from nostalgic grooves to dark melodies, and everything in between.

Melissa Weikart

This Franco-American musician is driven by an open-minded and experimental spirit, which she uses to create a hybrid musical style with a high degree of sensitivity. She is an intimate avant-pop artist, influenced by her classical piano training, her love of jazz and her passion for folk songs.
