A women's heritage walk through Les Gayeulles

Following the cemetery promenade Celles d’en dessous (2022), playwright, costume designer and embroiderer Laure Fonvieille extends and deepens her documentary writing on women by scaling it up to the level of the neighbourhood. This reflection on the notion of matrimoine — “the heritage of mothers” — takes the form of fifteen portraits of women, carried by fifteen actresses in costumed monologues. Fifteen “missing parts”, bringing together prominent figures — politicians, activists, artists, scientists, sportswomen — and women from the Maurepas district in a beautiful theatrical walk.
