Welcome to the carnival of life, featuring an orchestra, dance leaders, puppeteers, a whole host of dancers, and a playground transformed into a dance floor. Let’s dance together while we still can! 130 puppets wait patiently on rails on both sides of the stage. Here, there is no audience, no actors, no spectators and no professionals, just a crowd welcomed to the Puppet Ball to set in motion a multitude of inanimate beings. Get lost in the moment as we learn to create beauty together, work on our flexibility and centre of gravity, and practice the art of puppetry. By the end, it will be hard to say whether love or death is running the show, and whether it was the puppets or humans who dragged us into this devil’s dance.

Before the show, don’t miss the Bal des Timides: an interactive warm-up act by Les anges au plafond before the main ball, where you can learn the dance steps and the basics of puppetry. And all afternoon, from 3pm, Lillico’s Surprise Party will be putting on a great programme of shows, walking performances, workshops and more.
