La TchouTchouKa
(France)
Old school electric cumbia
For all ages

This year, the Travelling festival takes us to Santiago de Chile to discover an exceptional city and land with an overflowing imagination.

Seven instrumentalists from La Tchoutchouka, ambassadors of cumbia in Brittany, will get you moving during a parade from the Champs Libres to the Liberté, passing by the Pathé cinema. Led by Colombian singer Juan Reyes, the group (which became a brass band in 2020) explores traditional cumbia songs with percussion accompaniment, gets the crowd dancing with the vallenato accordion and 60s classics, performs electric Peruvian chicha and creates new compositions inspired by nu-cumbia and Colombian salsa.

See you at the Champs Libres for a Sunday stroll or after the screening of the visual symphony 9 ½, by Biagio Cavallo, Lorenza Ceregini, Daniel Musatto and Dries Versmissen presented by Travelling, in partnership with the Cinémathèque de Bretagne and the Musée de Bretagne.
