One man burlesque clown show in an outdoor ring
For all ages

New Zealand mime, clown, improviser, director and star of international circus festivals, Fraser Hooper finally comes to us with this wordless show in the purest tradition of the Anglo-Saxon comedy of Monty Python, Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. In this hypnotic, hilarious and totally committed burlesque show, taking audience involvement to new heights, he metamorphoses into a boxer, a duck and a fish, for an hour of slapstick comedy, stunts and provocation, in an irresistible burlesque act with lots of participation.

BIOGRAPHY

> FRASER HOOPER (New Zealand)

After giving up a successful career in men’s fashion thirty years ago, clown Fraser Hooper has criss-crossed the globe with shows that take audience involvement to new heights. In the celebrated tradition of Anglo-Saxon burlesque and the great silent jugglers, he mixes farce, stunts, improvisation, provocation and clowning, with total physical commitment. The clown, mime, director and teacher has won the Iron Chicken award at the Bread and Circus World Buskers Festival (New Zealand), the Best Act award at the Landshut Festival (Germany), medals at the Saint-Paul-Les-Dax Circus Festival and at the Festival international du Cirque du Val d’Oise (France). In 2009, between Fiji, the National Theatre in London and the Glastonbury Festival in England, he rewrote the clowning module for the British BTEC diploma in performing arts. After Insideout, Funny Business and Boxing, he is touring with a new show, Country Life.
