Documentary cinema  • For all ages
Grandiose, fiery entertainment for the end of an electric evening

Tracing the production of 85% of the world’s fireworks back to the Chinese factory town of Liuyang in Hunan, Amaury Vanderborght (performer and fireworker) and Cathy Blisson (documentary performance artist) have launched this fascinating outdoor film and performance show. In an ironic, stroboscopic narrative montage, it combines documentary and video footage of large-scale collective pyrotechnic celebrations. Truly an artistic experience that’s poppy and reflective, musical and danceable, political and philosophical, and full of surprises!
