With Pling Klang, circus artists and friends Étienne Manceau and Mathieu Despoisse take on a theme as complex as it is ambiguous, for which each person has their own definition: today’s couple.

As a field of study, in a unique setting imagined by Bram Dobbelaere, they stage one of the great challenges that any couple in love will face… the assembly of a 4×2 white lacquered Ikea Kallax shelving unit!

Drawing on a variety of books, their personal experiences and stories collected from friends and strangers, the acrobat and juggler duo humorously attempt to decipher the many pieces of modern romance. We become close-up witnesses to a making and unmaking that is as poetic as it is absurd.

Join us in the perfect setting of the wedding room of Rennes City Hall to admire the couple’s work and celebrate this touching, playful exploration of everyday life!
