Le Grand Dégel is a spring festival in Gayeulles Park, with a festive and spectacular street market near the La Famille Walili marquee, fairground attractions, a brass band, shows, a fun live radio, karaoke and many other surprises for a joyful and sunny Sunday. In this context, Les Tombées de la Nuit is delighted to join forces with the multidisciplinary collective La Famille Walili to present the show Rino by Compagnie Two.
RINO • COMPAGNIE TWO (FR) Rino is a radio duo on acrobatic bicycles, featuring artists Noëmie Bouissou and Ricardo Gaiser. With pedal strokes and guitar riffs, these two acrobats are armed with microphones, helmets and amplifiers to use stories, songs and shouts to bring back a range of absurd and idealised memories. Theirs, but also yours. Together, they rewrite our dreams, go round in circles, dance, pedal and struggle to continue bearing witness to the chaos of the world… or jump off along the way.
Have you ever seen Bonnie and Clyde in a voguing routine? Have you ever heard Bill Clinton play the saxophone? Have you ever seen Brad Pitt on a bicycle in a quick-change race? Have you ever heard Dalida sing like Johnny Cash? Have you ever seen Elvis and Marilyn swaying to a tango? Have you ever seen The Little Prince in Arizona? From a good old cliché to the far reaches of America, from pop to cult, from high hopes to harsh reality, they want to dream together, find their limits, cling to each other, climb on top of each other, jump into each other’s arms without warning or jump along the way and forget their fears by gazing into each other’s eyes.
