In L’Enfance Majeure, the street is transformed into a carnival-inspired playground. Before a spectacular wall, a living fairground attraction spewing water and smoke, children and adults unite to overcome their fears.
When a situation is hopeless and when times are tight, is there a way to open up another space-time? How will the group be able to enter it?
Combining dance, theatre and circus, this experiment celebrates creativity and solidarity and invites the audience to take part in a joyously transgressive adventure. Somewhere between burlesque and poetry, L’Enfance Majeure is an ode to the collective imagination and the power of play, bringing together all generations in a liberating celebration where everyone can dream of a better world.
In Rennes, two classes of pupils aged 12 and 13 from Collège Clotilde Vautier will be taking part in workshops before the show to create a ceremony about snacking and, through it, to create a community aware of its powers. This experience will last for three days for the thirty or so students working alongside the company and, for Les Tombées de la Nuit, it’s a local project extending into the Maurepas neighbourhood.
