The Block Party is a neighbourhood party where the entire “block” comes together around a group of musicians. This concept, which emerged in New York in the seventies, played a major part in the hip-hop movement. The event will provide an opportunity for the people of Rennes to gather in the Hautes-Ourmes park for a BBQ, some children’s games and a concert by rapper SUBSTANTIAL (Baltimore, USA) and jazz-hip hop producer FLOFILZ (Aachen, Germany).
