Bamako Rules

In January 2011, Bamako was in mourning for Zani Diabaté, known in his heyday, with his Super Djata Band as Mali’s Jimi Hendrix. One year on, as a tribute, his friend and percussionist, Bamba Dembélé put together a new band, combining some of the old crew, including ex-colleagues from Super Rail Band, alongside younger talent to create Bamba Wassoulou Groove.
