History of our clothes

“Welcome to a flea market where you can discover the clothes worn by people we have met and who have left us a piece of their past. Clothes they loved, clothes they abandoned, clothes they hated…it’s all here to tell their stories in a wonderful ballet of collected and recreated memories. Join us for a fleeting moment of nostalgia and an extraordinary time!”

Nous sommes de passage presents a one-of-a-kind flea market run by some unusual stallholders and an inspired musician. The old clothes gradually come to life as ghosts of the past take to the stage and create a flurry of human beings and stories from the simple to the fantastic. What tales do our old clothes tell? What stories do these rags communicate? What if theatre could bring back the dead?

Laurence Poueyto (clown, author and director) returns to Tombées de la Nuit after La reine des pommes in 2014 with this new creation where a flea market gradually morphs into an existential fashion show.
