Massimo Fusco has been immersed in the world of dance evenings ever since he was a child, thanks to his parents who were dance teachers. Here, he has devised a ball that plays with the rules of partner dancing, offering an original experience that combines performance and participation. With Bal Magnétique, he offers contemporary choreographic and musical writing and takes a modern look at the partner dances that marked his childhood. In the heart of a semi-prehistoric, semi-futuristic set design evoking the rituals of the earth and the telluric forces from which certain trance dances draw their inspiration, the dancers freely revive the figures of partner dances, joyful, vibrant, skipping, twirling… Close to the audience and set to an original composition by Gérald Kurdian, Bal Magnétique gradually transforms the dance floor into a choreographic and musical crescendo, before inviting the spectators to join in the dance.
