Between Lamballe, Brest and Rennes, Blanche Leblond — bassist with Clavicule and Championne — creates, under the name Louïse Papier, a minimalist, lo-fi synth-pop of haunting melodies and darkly dreamlike atmospheres. From an early single (Spark Again) to an EP (Les idées roses, 2022) and an album (C’est la fin, 2025), her soft, intimate, wistful melancholy of vintage synths and old organs evokes Blond Redhead, Elli et Jacno, Molly Nilsson and Requin Chagrin in turn. Her new quartet line-up has recently opened for Yann Tiersen, Jay-Jay Johanson, Deluxe and Bertrand Belin.
