Working with real deer antlers, used both as circus apparatus and as a meeting point between animal and human imaginaries, choreographer and circus artist Fanny Soriano creates a fascinating metaphorical ballet for three female dancers. Performed and sung live, the music becomes song, cries, breaths, rutting calls and natural percussion. Acrobatic, aesthetic, and marked by a feminine pack energy, Faune explores our animal nature and our relationship to the wild world. Suspended between earth and sky, at the meeting point of dance and circus arts, it reveals the power of both animal and woman.

BIOGRAPHY
> FANNY SORIANO / COMPAGNIE LIBERTIVORE (FR)
A graduate of the Centre national des arts du cirque in Châlons-en-Champagne, choreographer, dancer and aerial acrobat Fanny Soriano founded Compagnie Libertivore in 2005 with Jules Beckman (musician and performer), after many encounters and collaborations with Archaos, Cirque Plume, Jacques Rebotier, Cahin-Caha and Collectif AOC, among others. Now solely at the helm of the company, she develops an artistic language rooted in aerial circus disciplines, contact dance and improvised performance. After the solos Hêtre and Fractales (2012), health issues forced her to stop her aerial work. In 2015, she adapted Hêtre into a short form for an aerial dancer and a suspended branch, and joined La Ruche at Le Zef, scène nationale de Marseille. Since 2017, she has asserted a choreographic practice centred on humankind and nature, through works such as Phasmes, Silva, Fractales, Éther, Brame and Faune.
