Originally hailing from the film industry, the Espèces d’espaces company stumbled into street arts almost by accident. They create a form of ‘living cinema’ where the art of improvisation and sheer inventiveness meet a deep desire to tell stories, all in total complicity with the audience. With En attendant la vague, conceived for and alongside its participants, the company uncovers the poetry of everyday spaces to better forge a shared imagination.

To kick off the new season this Saturday, in an open-air studio set up in the Parc Saint-Cyr, meet filmmaker Pippo Taleggio as he embarks on directing his next film, En attendant la vague, a post-flood dystopia. When the shoot goes off the rails, it takes all the creativity of a shambolic yet enthusiastic crew and extras plucked straight from the crowd to get the film in the can.
