Three opera singers — tenor, soprano and baritone — and two instrumentalists, piano and violin, gather around a table and a street restaurant to invent a theatrical lyric meal with a real menu to choose from… With this new creation, the young Rennes-based company continues its exciting exploration of the many forms and facets of lyric art. An interactive platform show weaving together opera arias, musical theatre, French song and contemporary creation, blending vocal virtuosity, theatrical play, humour, self-mockery and lightness without ever sacrificing musicality.
In partnership with Rennes Opera House.

BIOGRAPHY
> COMPAGNIE LYRISME DE RUE (FR)
This young company of opera singers and musicians, founded in Rennes in 2020 during the first lockdown, is now associated with Rennes Opera House. During that first lockdown, missing music and the pleasure of sharing it, four neighbours — opera singers, a pianist and a violinist — came together in the courtyard of their building for an improvised performance. They then wheeled a digital piano onto the pavement outside, creating genuine moments of musical poetry and conviviality. Now consolidated around Olivier Lagarde (baritone), Robin Le Bervet (piano), Flavien Maleval (tenor), Sarah Rodriguez (soprano) and Charlotte Sonnois (violin), all trained locally, the company continues its commitment to breaking down barriers between genres — opera, operetta, musicals — while touring in public space, through shows such as Dis-moi tes amours (2022) and À votre guise (2025), both directed by Katja Krüger, and Comme un air de voyage (trio, 2025), directed by Joséphine Kirch.
